Wir konnten den Vogel nicht zuordnen, er liegt intermediär zwischen Korn- und Steppenweihe. Sehr wahrscheinlich handelt es sich um einen Hybriden.
Dick Forsman schrieb mir dazu: "... the bird definitely has a potential for being a hybrid/intergrade Hen x Pallid. Although looking quite similar to a Pallid, the fine streaking of the flanks, the spotted collar and the rather pale secondaries with Hen-like barring, indicate some kind of interference from Hen Harrier. The wing-formula, which is important in this case, cannot be assessed well enough from these images for a reliable judgement. A very similar bird was seen in Sweden recently and is widely regarded an intergrade Hen x Pallid ..."
