What to post to EuroTwitch or EBN

I understand EuroTwitch as a mean to distribute informations about very rare species of your country on a up-to-date base. What is "very rare" is up to the judgement of the author, but should consider the european point of view.

Another criteria for posting to EuroTwitch could be, whether the bird is likely to stay in the area for a while and would be twitchable for other birders.

With the EBN (European Birdnet) we have the monthly and two-weeks summaries. The focus of EuroTwitch is more on 'hot' daily reports of rarities or shorter termed summaries. The EBN is also a must for european birders and I recommend to join it as well. EBN deals with the whole spectrum of ornithology.

Discussions and RFIs should therefore better be posted to the EBN.

To subscribe the EBN (European Birdnet) mail to:
and write into the message body: subscribe eurobirdnet your real name

All kind of questions regarding EuroTwitch, should be sent to:
and not to the whole list.

Have fun and enjoy EuroTwitch and EBN.
